| RE: | Bill 163, Draft 4 -Relating to the Hawaii County General Plan |
Attached for your review and transmittal is the above bill. At the last Committee on Planning meeting held January 4, 2005, Bill 163, Draft 1 was amended by retaining the following portions of the 1989 general plan:
| 1. | The LUPAG map designations for Kohanaiki (deleting the proposed changes at G9 and G10 in Draft 1); |
| 2. | The LUPAG map designation for Keopuka and a small portion of Onouli (deleting the proposed change at H1 in Draft 1); |
| 3. | The LUPAG map designation for the Shipman properties in Kea`au (deleting the proposed change at A4 in Draft 1); |
| 4. | The LUPAG map designation in Honomu (deleting the proposed change at B4); |
| 5. | The LUPAG map designation for the properties in South Kona owned by Ackerman, Bell and Paris (deleting the identification of these lands as important agricultural land); |
| 6. | The LUPAG map designation for Hokulia (deleting the identification of these lands as important agricultural land); and |
| 7. | The definition of orchards. |
Attached to this transmittal are both the clean and ramseyerd document of Bill 163, Draft 4. Please have this item referred to the Council for consideration.
